WELCOME TO SKIPWITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTA!!
The PTA exists to make every child’s potential a reality by encouraging parent, teacher and community involvement at Skipwith and to improve our school by funding and supporting programs that encourage learning and involvement.
The PTA this year is planning a Cultural Arts Program, Music and Art Appreciation Night, Talent Show and a Science Fair. We will also have Spirit Nights at Chuck E. Cheese, Children’s Museum, and many more. All of these activities are designed to bring students, teachers and parents together outside of school hours. We, as a PTA, also purchased agenda books for the students, provided funding for new fencing in the car pick up area and between the two buildings and continue to award $2,000 in college scholarships to former Skipwith students. We are looking into some needed improvements that will really benefit our students this year and for the years to come. These are just a few of the ways we support the school.

Online meal prepayments (My Lunch Money) is now "My School Bucks" and available at My School Bucks.
Volunteer at School or PTA Events
Parents and members of the community are encouraged and welcomed to participate as volunteers to help meet the needs of students at Skipwith. Individuals who are interested in participating as a volunteer and would like more information should view the Volunteers page and complete a Volunteer form. A Henrico County Public Schools Volunteer form is required. Watch the video below from the National PTA to see how being involved really does matter!
Things to Know:
- ~The school opens at 7:20 a.m., and instructional hours are from 7:40 a.m. to 2:10 p.m.
- ~Regular student meal prices for 2015-2016 are $2.60 for lunch and $1.50 for breakfast.
- ~All students are required to have tennis shoes/sneakers for PE class and recess. The students will not be allowed to participate in PE or be on the playground equipment at recess if they do not have on sneakers. This is for the safety of the students.
